Okay, these are things I ate in 2010 that were crazy, wicked AMAZING:
- chocolate smoked sea salt ice cream from Humphry Slocombe - I don't even like chocolate ice cream but this was a dream. Deep, sweet, savory and creamy. This was ice cream heaven.
- seared maine diver scallops with english peas, chanterelles and english pea puree from Providence - A scallop that was beyond perfect and the best fucking peas of my life. It is barely right that peas should taste like this. When you eat an excellent five course tasting menu dinner at a two-star Michelin restaurant and the best thing the entire night is two spoons of fresh peas -- can you imagine how good those peas must be?
