Last month I paid a visit to Patrick's work and someone asked me if I had seen the wisteria.
I hadn't. But since that visit the desire to see the wisteria was always in the back of my mind. So one day last week, when I had to pick Patrick up from campus, I decided to get there a little early so I could finally lay my eyes on these flowers.
They were gorgeous. They covered and draped a long pergola in a graceful, sun-dappled courtyard right behind the Santa Clara Mission. It was a bright warm day and the wisteria was lovely as a dream.
Walking under a tunnel of spring flowers. I could have stayed there for hours.
