Each December I usually post a holiday crafts tutorial. This year, I thought I'd do something a little bit different and offer up a free printable holiday card for artists and crafters and anyone wanting to work on a simple creative project to send to their friends.
I've made the card graphics pretty simple, so you can totally go to town and dress it up in your own personal style. I've also used some fun crafty stitch fonts so it'll actually live up to the "Craftsmas" theme!
The best part? You can use all your leftover buttons, yarn, fabric ends, and paper strips to make these cards. I don't know about you guys, but I save EVERYTHING. I've got bags of pretty string and ribbon that aren't long enough for even the least ambitious sewing project. I've got a couple of drawers full of extra beads and die-cut shapes that are just dying to be part of something!
I even have a drawer full of sample prints and scrapbook paper corners that I couldn't bring myself to throw away.
All these odds and end pieces are going to look great together and it makes me so happy that they'll actually be put to use. The cards I've dressed up so far combine pink gingham paper I used for a springtime party invite, loose sequins from last Christmas' crafts, and whispy, colorful fringed yarn I used for some wedding items.
I'd love to see them decorated with paint, drawn on and stitched on...the possibilities are endless.
Have fun, and I can't wait to see your creations!
